This document describes which customer data is processed, made available and can be exported as part of Simplyhosting.com services, in accordance with the European Union Data Act (EU Regulation 2023/2854).
The information and procedures described on this page relate exclusively to access to and transfer of data under the Data Act. They are without prejudice to the rights granted to data subjects under personal data protection legislation, including the rights of access and, where applicable, data portability under Articles 15 and 20 of the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679). These rights can be exercised in accordance with the procedures set out in the applicable privacy notices.
Access logs for email services are not included among the data that can be exported using the procedures described on this page. Such data is subject to specific legislation governing the retention and acquisition of electronic communications traffic data and may only be made available to judicial authorities as part of criminal proceedings.
Where a specific export function is not available, data may be exported using methods commonly used within the industry, for example by copying information directly from the user interface or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
For any additional requests, customers should open a ticket through the Customer Portal.
Account data
The following information is available through the Simply Hosting Customer Portal:
- Customer details / billing information / active servers / Tickets: Exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
- Invoices: Exportable by clicking the relevant invoice and downloading it as a PDF.
- Payment methods (credit card/debit card, Bank transfer): Credit card numbers are only partially displayed. Exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function. Bank details for Simply Hosting are shown on the invoice if bank transfer is selected as a payment method.
Product list
The following information is available through the Customer Portal:
- Active products, products awaiting activation and cancelled products: Available via Services menu. Exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
- Expiry dates (next due date): Available via Services tab. Exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
Managed VPS Servers (Linux)
- Technical details: Viewable through the Customer Portal by accessing the details for each server and exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
- Server system logs: These are not managed by the customer and require a support request which the NOC pass to the Namesco support team.
- Server system settings: These are not managed by the customer and require a support request which the NOC pass to the Namesco support team.
Self-Managed Dedicated / Cloud Servers
- These servers are unmanaged and as the customer you hold full root/administrator credentials, giving you complete access to the server, its configuration, and all logs and data on it.
- If you run into difficulties accessing your data or would like assistance, our support team is happy to help - just open a support request from your Customer Portal.
Hardware Firewall / VLAN
- Technical details: Basic setup done via the NOC and then passed to the customer to configure as they wish via J-Web interface or Junos OS CLI. Your setup dictates how the data can be accessed.

Backups (onsite and offsite)
- As you retain full root/administrator access to the server, all technical details, configurations, and generated data reside on hardware under your control and can be accessed and exported from that portal. Your setup dictates how the data can be accessed.

Colocation
- As you retain full root/administrator access to the server, all technical details, configurations, and generated data reside on hardware under your control and can be accessed and exported directly by you at any time.
Other
- Support request history: Viewable under the Tickets tab in the Customer Portal and exportable by copy and paste or using the browser's print-to-PDF function.
