Dedicated Servers are physical servers placed in a datacentre. With a Dedicated Server, you have complete access to your server and all of its resources including memory, software, CPU, storage and bandwidth. The main advantage of dedicated hosting over shared hosting is that you don’t have to share resources with other users and you are free to install and configure whatever software you wish.

Why choose Dedicated Servers?
Your dedicated server strategy is more than a ‘nice to have’. It’s business critical. It needs to be flexible and it needs to be scalable. When you want optimum performance, high level security and first class support, you need our dedicated server hosting for:
Fast content delivery is key to the modern day user experience. With shared web hosting solutions, your web site could slow down the moment you attract more website visitors, because you share server resources with others. With a dedicated server, you don’t have any ‘noisy neighbours’. The resources are yours and yours alone, giving you the ultimate performance.
Big database servers
Some applications and websites rely on large databases, like Content Relationship Management (CRM) systems or data analytics platforms. The database servers for these applications can be separated with a dedicated server, giving the best performance for your app.
Complex e-commerce websites
Bigger e-commerce websites tend to require more robust processing power to manage heavy traffic loads. With a dedicated server, you can process multiple transactions simultaneously, and still provide a seamless user experience for all visitors in your webshop.
Reliable server hosting and high-performance are essential s for any digital agency. With dedicated resources at your disposal, you can allocate resources based on the specific client requirements, ensuring the best quality for you, your customer and their website visitors.

Frequently asked questions about Dedicated Servers
What are dedicated servers?
Why rent instead of buy a Dedicated Server?
Renting avoids the major financial layout of buying a Dedicated Server. Reduce capex and let us worry about server lifecycle management issues . If there are any server hardware failures, we take care of it all.
What’s the difference between AMD Servers and Intel Servers?
AMD Servers and Intel Servers are both based on the X86 architecture, which is much like the architecture you’ll find in in a home computer. However, there are some differences between the models we offer. For example: with our Intel servers we don’t offer DDR5, which is the latest version for high memory performance. In general, the Ryzen servers are slightly faster than our Intel servers. They have high single core speed performance, generally a good number of cores and use high-speed NVMe disks as a standard.
Our Intel Xeon models are latest generation. They have high-speed NVMe disks attached which boosts performance significantly.
What’s the difference between a Dedicated Server and Bare Metal?
There’s really no difference. In the world of Dedicated Servers, Bare Metal is a term used interchangeably. Here at Simply Hosting, we use the term ‘Bare Metal Servers to refer to our budget server solutions. These are physical servers and available on our Simply Bare Metal Outlet. At Simply, we prefer to use the term Dedicated Server for our state of the art range of AMD & Intel Dedicated Servers.
What’s the benefit of a Dedicated Server compared to a Virtual Private Server? The main difference between a Dedicated Server and a Virtual Private Server is the sheer difference in performance power. A VPS typically uses as hypervisor to provision all instances on the physical server. Depending on the hosting provider, these VPS could be overprovisioned, meaning you’ll share resources like the CPU with others. This means you can’t use the full processing power for your web project.
With a Dedicated Server, all resources are completely yours. You decide what you’ll do with it and you have full control to tweak it until it fits your goal.
