What is VPS?
What's the difference between a Managed VPS and a Self-managed VPS?
With a Managed VPS, the management of the VPS is taken care of by your hosting provider – this includes all server responsibilities and maintenance tasks, from setting up your server to daily monitoring and maintenance.
On the other hand, with a self-managed VPS, your hosting provider will only take care of the connectivity to the VPS and ensure it is available online. If there are any node hardware issues, your VPS hosting provider will resolve them. All other VPS maintenance tasks are your responsibility.
How do I upgrade my VPS?
We'll manage the upgrade for you – just let us know which VPS you'd like to upgrade to via your Customer Portal or call us on 0333 247 0222 and we'll handle the rest.
Will I get root access to my Managed VPS?
Root access is not supplied with our Managed VPS range; however, check out our self-managed VPS hosting solutions if this is something you need.
