{"id":130,"date":"2022-02-04T16:05:50","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T16:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.simplyhosting.com\/support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=130"},"modified":"2024-03-11T15:45:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T15:45:11","slug":"how-to-cancel-a-service","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.simplyhosting.com\/support\/articles\/how-to-cancel-a-service\/","title":{"rendered":"How to cancel a service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you do need to cancel a service, you can do so in one of 3 ways;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nco-warning-block\"><p class=\"nco-warning-block-content\"><strong>Warning:<\/strong> Don&#8217;t forget we do require 15 days\u2019 notice in advance of the expiry date to cancel services, to be in line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplyhosting.com\/info\/terms\/terms-of-service\">Terms and Conditions<\/a>, agreed to at the point of purchase.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By creating a support ticket requesting the cancellation and stating your reason.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create a ticket by logging into your Online Control Panel, scrolling down on the Dashboard and at the bottom of the page there is an option to create a new ticket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When creating a support ticket, remember to drop down and choose the correct server ID, choose &#8220;<strong>Accounts and Billing<\/strong>&#8221; in the drop down and set to high priority in the last drop down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nco-advice-block\"><p class=\"nco-advice-block-content\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong> You can easily create a new support ticket by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.simplyhosting.com\/support\/newticket\/\">here<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Directly from your Online Control Panel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In your Online Control Panel, go to Services, then click &#8220;View Product&#8221; for the service you wish to cancel. If at least 15 days remains on your product, you can select to cancel on this page. By paying for a longer term, you get a 10% saving for committing to the time upfront, compared to the monthly option where you have no commitment. For this reason there would be no refund available for the remaining time on your servers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I\u2019ve already cancelled my service. Why am I still getting renewal reminders?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your upcoming invoice will be cancelled when your server is taken offline (providing you cancelled with 15 days\u2019 notice).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please refer back to your cancellation request ticket. If not enough notice was provided, you will have been notified that you are required to pay the final invoice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system sends the renewal reminders automatically and cannot be stopped.
