Get a choice of POP3 or IMAP Inboxes with your Email Package. POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is a client/server protocol in which e-mail is received and held for you by our Mail server. Periodically, you (or your client e-mail receiver) check your mailbox on the server and download any email using POP3. Each POP3 email account can have its own independent inbox with personalized email addresses. IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a service that allows email messages stored on a remote server to be managed in much the same way as if they were stored on the user's local machine. Unlike POP3, which only allows access to a single inbox, IMAP allows the creation of additional folders, between which messages can be distributed for archiving.

'Email Forwarding' is a handy feature that will allow messages to be received and then forwarded onto a user specified email address. This is also known as 'mail relay'. For example, if you already have a set of mailbox's set up but you wish to have a new domain name or company name, we can host the forwarding domain for you and forward Email's to the email address you specify.

Our advanced virus protection system protects your computer against malicious viruses, worms and Trojans. Once activated via your online control panel, all incoming email messages are individually scanned for suspicious content. Disguised, encoded and even compressed attachments are extracted in full and compared to a comprehensive database of known viruses. The facility 'Catch-All' means that if you are sent an email with a name before your domain name that you have not specified in your email set up, such as: 

random_name@mydomainname.com, these emails will be caught and put into the 'Catch-All' mailbox so that the email will not be lost. This is particularly useful when somebody has sent you an email and mis-spelled your name. As an additional feature you are able to change the 'Catch-All' address to any email address that you wish to use.
